1. Monica And Chandler, Friends
Monica and Chandler had always been flirtatious since season one, but it was always in a platonic manner. However, what happens in London doesn't always stay in London. Once these two finally got together, we realized they were the best fit for each other even if we always hoped she would end up with Richard.
While Monica was extremely type-A and Chandler couldn't help his goofy sense of humor, these opposites attracted each other and formed the most amazing relationship. We can all agree that we needed a box of tissues during the proposal episode because that was an emotional rollercoaster.
2. Jesse And Becky, Full House
Although we aren't huge fans of Lori Loughlin at the moment, it's hard to deny that Becky and Uncle Jesse's relationship was the sitcom love that we have all dreamed about. Throughout the series, we watched these two fall in love, get married, and have two beautiful baby boys.
Remember when Jesse sang to Becky at their wedding? Who else's heart melted and made them wish they had a musical husband? No matter what hardships they went through, Jesse and Becky stuck by each others' sides and had their family to support them through any troubles.
3. Chuck And Blair, Gossip Girl
"Three words, eight letters, and I'm yours." At the beginning of Gossip Girl, everyone rooted for Blair to end up with the obvious choice, Nate. However, once we saw Chuck and Blair's passion, we knew they had to end up together. They are both snobby, rich, and vindictive, so they couldn't be with anyone else.
Their relationship was far from perfect, and we will be the first to acknowledge that, but they couldn't make a better pairing. It took Chuck much too long to say he loved Blair, but we all knew he felt it deep down. Luckily, they worked it out in the end.
4. Homer And Marge, The Simpsons
Homer and Marge Simpson have been together for years, and when they first met in detention, they seemed like an unlikely match. Homer was a detention regular while Marge was there for the first time, but he couldn't take his eyes off her. It was then that everyone realized they were soulmates.
The Simpsons have been on the air for 31 years, and Marge and Homer proved their love could withstand the test of time. Although they have had their fair share of conflicts, it shows that no marriage is perfect, even in the cartoons. But with a little time and patience, any problem can be smoothed out.
5. Callie And Arizona, Grey's Anatomy
Grey's Anatomy has almost too many couples to count, but one that really stood out was the relationship between Callie and Arizona. The couple had one of the longest-running LGBTQ+ romances in TV history, and their love wasn't always easy.
Between Callie's late coming out, Arizona's amputation after a plane crash, becoming mothers, and navigating a hospital romance, it was a lot for the two to handle. Still, they managed to co-parent well after their divorce. Although their relationship wasn't forever, they had a beautiful romance at their peak.
6. Marshall And Lily, How I Met Your Mother
When Marshall and Lily met in college, their connection was instantaneous. As pretty much the only solid couple from How I Met Your Mother, these characters gave us hope that real romance does exist. With nicknames like marshmallow and lilypad, what's not to love?
While the couple did have some relationship challenges, Lily and Marshall stayed strong throughout the entire series. They even proved that time apart could make the heart grow fonder. Between getting married and welcoming their children, they won fans over each and every episode.
7. Ben And Leslie, Parks And Recreation
Some love her, some hate her, but it's hard to imagine anyone would really be able to keep up with the ambitious public servant, Leslie Knope. That was until Ben Wyatt came on the scene and Leslie finally found someone who could balance her out.
Parks and Recreation threw gender roles out the window as we watched Ben support Leslie as she chased her dreams. Ben and Leslie are one of the few couples on TV that didn't thrive on drama, and we never had to wonder if they will or won't be together. They had the purest kind of love and that is all anyone can hope for.
8. Phil And Vivian, The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air
Phil and Vivian Banks were another African-American successful couple in a predominantly white world. As the glue that held their family together, they had a thing or two to learn when the nephew Will showed up from a completely different background and taught them about racism and class differences.
Their love was strong through all the ups and downs and even an unplanned pregnancy. Although Phil had a hot temper, Vivian balanced him out and made him think rationally with her calm nature and reasoning. There is much to learn from their TV romance.
9. Randall And Beth, This Is Us
Out of all the couples and drama on This is Us, Randall and Beth are definitely the strongest pair. Although it is hard to tell if any of the couples will last in the long run, fans are assured that Randall and Beth will make it because they are still together in flash-forwards.
In season 3, the couple went through a rough patch, to say the least, but they ended up coming out of it stronger than before. There were some disagreements, and they almost split up, but to viewers' delights, they worked through their problems instead of giving up.
10. Luke And Lorelai, Gilmore Girls And Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life
Move over Rory because it is time to focus on Lorelai's love interest for once. While the mother-daughter relationship is the focus of the show, it's hard to ignore the spark between Luke and Lorelai. Although they clashed a bit at first, they were almost the perfect pair.
Luke and Lorelai began their relationship as friends who enjoyed getting coffee together, but it ended up blossoming into something unexpected. From the beginning, everyone hoped they would end up together, and the producers gave the people what they wanted the most.
11. Jim And Pam, The Office
"The boat was actually Plan C, the church was Plan B, and Plan A was marrying her a long, long time ago. Pretty much the day I met her." When the show began, Pam was engaged, and Jim was clearly in love with her, and it took them four seasons to finally get together. However, just because they were so in love didn't mean their relationship was perfect.
During the last few seasons, Jim and Pam had trouble with their long-distance situation while Jim pursued his dreams, but in the end, they made everything work. It's no wonder people are always saying they are searching for the Jim to their Pam.
12. Eric And Donna, That '70s Show
When Eric and Donna started their relationship, it was all cute, innocent, and just like any other high school romance. We loved how their relationship never got in the way of their friendships. Even though they called off their wedding, we always held out hope that they would find a way back to each other.
Although Eric left to teach children in Africa in the seventh season, he returns to reunite with the love of his life at the end of the show. We couldn't imagine the awkward boy and his hot neighbor being with other people, and fans were happy that they worked it out.
13. Mitch And Cam, Modern Family
If there is one thing we can always appreciate about Mitch and Cam, it's that they will always make us laugh. At the beginning of Modern Family, the couple helped improve the perception and representation of LGBTQ couples on TV. They even became parents in the first season and raised their perfect Lily.
With two completely different personalities, they keep each other balanced and keep the fans entertained. Although they are so different, Cam and Mitch have never tried to change each other, and they always encourage each other to follow their dreams and passions.
14. Miranda And Steve, Sex And The City
With many different couples and romantic storylines on Sex and the City, it was hard to keep up with all the different couples. However, Miranda and Steve's on and off relationship was easily the most relatable. With her career-driven life, Miranda was not expecting to fall for Steve, but that's just how it happens.
While they did have a few break-ups, Steve's cancer diagnosis brought them back together, and they ended up getting pregnant. When she decided to keep the baby, it was a turning point in their relationship, and it was easier to keep up with them rather than Carrie and Big.
15. Meredith And Derek, Grey's Anatomy
The minute Meredith walked into Seattle Grace Hospital and Derek laid eyes on her, it was an instant connection. Mind the fact that they had just slept together the night before her first day. Although it was inappropriate and he was going through a divorce, they couldn't fight their feelings.
Their post-it note wedding might not have been everyone's dream affair, but it was sweet for them. Meredith and Derek dealt with many hardships throughout their relationship, but they always showed how much they loved each other until his final breath.
16. David And Patrick, Schitt's Creek
"So I'm just going to play the supportive partner and watch him fail." Schitt's Creek is an iconic show, and we can't help but be obsessed with David and Patrick. They began as business partners, and it quickly turned into something romantic. From store owners to getting married, we have watched them grow throughout the seasons.
David and Patrick balance each other, but they can also be divas in their own respect. We just love how calming Patrick is for David because any fan would know how worked up he can get when things aren't going well.
17. Ross And Rachel, Friends
"We were on a break!" Whether you agree that they were on a break or not, we couldn't have made this list without including Ross and Rachel. Their on-and-off rollercoaster of a relationship was definitely hard to watch, and everyone always wanted them to just be together.
After many breakups, makeups, and watching the other person dating someone else, they finally realized their love for each other in the series' finale. It was like we could all breathe a sigh of relief that they got back together. Sometimes the love of your life is the person you have a baby with.
18. Carrie And Mr. Big, Sex And The City
Speaking of on and off relationships, Carrie and Mr. Big's is another iconic one. We don't know who had more of a rollercoaster relationship between them or Ross and Rachel, but we never understood why Big wouldn't settle down and be with Carrie.
Even when Big acted like a complete jerk to her, we somehow rooted they would be together. True love won at the end of the day, and they decided that they can't fight their feelings anymore. It was challenging to see how long it took for them to see what everyone else saw the whole series.
19. Cory And Topanga, Boy Meets World And Girl Meets World
They started as pre-pubescent teens who were each other's first crushes and then first kisses, which turned into much more. Cory and Topanga experienced everything together from middle school all the way to college, and we watched them grow up and come together in the end.
Cory and Topanga even came back for the spin-off series, Girl Meets World. Although they were hot and cold throughout the original series, it showed that true love is worth fighting for, even if it takes a little more work. Relationships aren't easy, but when it is meant to be it will be.
20. Mindy And Danny, The Mindy Project
Although we can only picture Mindy Kaling with Ryan from The Office, she was part of another beloved TV couple on The Mindy Project. As a fan of cheesy rom-com, Kaling made sure Danny and Mindy's relationship on the show was the stereotypical rom-com romance.
As these polar opposites fell in love, people were so excited to see Mindy and Danny finally get together. However, when they broke up, fans knew it wasn't the end of their romance. In the series finale, they finally rekindle their romance, and balance is restored to the world.
21. Eleanor And Chidi, The Good Place
Although they were set up as soulmates under false pretenses, it turned out that they were actually perfect for each other. Chidi and Eleanor don't seem like they would even be friends, but there is beauty in total opposites falling for each other.
Even after their memories are reset hundreds of times, the two keep finding a way back to one another. Maybe they are drawn to each other because they want to be more like the other person, or maybe it is fate. All we know is that Eleanor and Chidi's relationship is anything but easy but somehow works.
22. Mike And Carol, The Brady Bunch
Mike and Carol Brady have to be one of the most iconic couples on TV. The story of a blended family trying to make things work under one roof was unique for the time, and they tackled many growing pains throughout the show.
While many people dealt with their parents' divorce, Carol and Mike gave them hope that their parents would find new love again. While some people don't have the best step-parents, The Brady Bunch helped people see the possibilities of a happy blended family.
23. Lucy And Ricky, I Love Lucy
"Lucy, you've got some 'splain to do." When I Love Lucy premiered on TV, America had never seen a couple quite like these two. The multiethnic couple broke ground, but it wasn't always easy. TV networks said the American public wouldn't accept these two together, but they were so wrong.
Lucy and Ricky won the hearts of millions because of their spirited, quirky, and funny nature. It might have helped that the couple was actually married in real life, so their chemistry was natural on screen. They might have been on TV 60 years ago, but they still are one of the most beloved couples.
24. Fran And Mr. Sheffield, The Nanny
"Oh, Mista Sheffield!" She was there to sell makeup, but the father saw more; she had style and flair, and that's how she became the new Mrs. Sheffield. There has never been a time where we rooted for the boss and his employee together more than we did for Fran and Maxwell.
It was a slow and painful wait till Mr. Sheffield finally admitted his feelings for Fran, but there was never a dull moment in the show with her sassy nasal voice and his sexy British accent. As the show headed into the sixth season, they got married and then added twins to their family.
25. Willow And Tara, Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Although most people focus on Buffy and Angel's relationship, one of the best couples from Buffy the Vampire Slayer was Willow and Tara. Willow started the series as a shy and timid high schooler but blossomed once she started dating Tara.
They brought out the best in each other until Tara met her tragic end in season 6. After her death, Willow turns evil because the world doesn't seem like a good place once her true love is gone. It is one of the most dramatic turns in the entire series.
26. Kurt And Blaine, Glee
While there were many iconic couples on Glee, the fan-favorite duo goes to Kurt and Blaine. They were the teenage dream romance even though they had to deal with many obstacles being one of the few gay romances on the show. They shared their first kiss and lost their virginities with a song to accompany those moments.
Kurt and Blaine finally exchanged vows in the final season, and people proudly called it "the gayest thing they saw on television" in the best way possible. The way they loved each other was so special, and it helped normalize LGBTQ couples in the media.
27. Jane And Michael, Jane The Virgin
Even though Jane and Michael don't end up together, their love is definitely worth mentioning. With the love triangle between Michael, Jane, and Rafael, it was a lot to keep up with. The two got married in season two before Michael was killed and then came back to live like any good telenovela.
They shared swoon-worthy moments like the Ferris wheel kiss, and their wedding made us all cry happy tears. However, it wasn't meant to last. Even though he delivered his vows in Spanish with help from Jane's Abuela, she chose someone else.
28. Dre And Rainbow, Black-ish
When it comes to solid couples, Dre and Rainbow from Black-Ish are about as sturdy as it gets. Whether it's a social, political, or relationship issue, these two always find a way to work through their troubles and come out stronger than before.
Throughout the series, we saw Dre and Rainbow celebrate their family's highest highs and tackle the lows, but they have guided their family in the best way they could as partners. They are also never afraid to try new tactics to get through obstacles.
29. Andy And April, Parks And Recreation
When Andy and April first met, Andy was still hung up on his ex Anne. April had a massive crush on Andy, and he barely noticed. However, these two freaks were made to be together, and they brought out the best in each other. With Andy's goofy tendencies and April's devious plans, they couldn't have been a better match.
When they first started dating, Andy lacked ambition, but he tried to work harder for April. She made him realize he could do so much more and had so much potential. Andy also encouraged April to follow her dreams even if it took them to different parts of the country.
30. Louis And Jessica, Fresh Off The Boat
Fresh Off the Boat focuses on Louis and Jessica Huang and their three children. Like many TV couples, they are complete opposites who keep each other grounded. Louis is chilled and laid back, while Jessica is the no-nonsense parent.
Together they make the perfect mix, and their chemistry is enjoyable to watch. The couple met when they both ate at a seafood restaurant and got food poisoning. While waiting in line for the bathroom, they realized they both had the same problem and fell in love.
31. George And Louise, The Jeffersons
George and Louise Jefferson were an iconic couple because they broke many barriers on television. We saw the Jeffersons "movin' on up" from a working-class Queens neighborhood to a luxury apartment in Manhattan, and they were the first successful African-American couple on TV.
When it came to George and Louise, they always stood their ground and proved that you could be equal counterparts in a relationship. They showed how much they loved each other on each episode, and it was heart-warming to see them become one of America's most loved couples.
32. Bob And Linda, Bob's Burgers
Bob and Linda Belcher have the kind of romance we all dream of; one with love, support, and communication. Unlike the other cartoon couples, they don't fall into the category of lazy husband and nagging wife. Bob and Linda care for one another, and they are one of TV's happiest and healthiest couples.
Their love is a day-to-day affair filled with quirks, habits, and tics that make their relationship thrive. He puts up with her random songs, and she loves his daily burger puns. Can you think of a more perfect match than that? They may be weird, but it makes the show that much better.
33. Jackie And Kelso, That '70s Show
Although Jackie and Kelso don't end up together on That '70s Show, they end up together in real life. However, in the show, their vain personalities and lack of perspective made them entertaining to watch as a couple. When they were together, it was sweet, and we could all relate to Jackie liking the hot older high school boy.
Ashton Kutcher was Mila Kunis' first kiss ever during the show, and we couldn't be happier that they ended up getting married and starting a family years after the show ended. Although Jackie and Kelso weren't meant to be, the series brought two people together for a reason.
34. Poussey And Soso, Orange Is The New Black
If this one doesn't make you shed at least a single tear, we have some questions. Orange Is the New Black was packed with heartbreaking moments, but nothing made us tear up more than when Poussey was killed, and Soso's heart was basically shattered into a million pieces.
There were many same-sex couples on the show because it was set in an all-women prison, but their love was unique and light. It took Soso a while to come to terms with her sexuality, and just as she was confident with herself, Poussey was murdered. We need a tissue just thinking about this.
35. Coach Taylor And Tami, Friday Night Lights
In the third version of Friday Night Lights (the TV series), Coach Taylor and Tami's romance is at the center of the series. They won over fans because their love was as big as the state of Texas. They were also one of the most realistic couples on TV at the time.
For five seasons, Coach Taylor and Tami dealt with real issues like family values, racism, drugs, and abortion in an authentic way. They showed that friendship and respect are the core values of any great marriage.
36. Seth And Summer, The O.C.
While the popular girl falling for the nerdy guy is a bit of a repetitive storyline, it's hard not to root for Seth and Summer on The O.C. It started as a typical high school crush and blossomed into one of our favorite TV romances.
When they got past the stereotypical exteriors, they both realized there was more than meets the eye with each other. Seth always felt like he needed to measure up to Summer, but it turned out to be the other way around by the end of the series.
37. Lois And Clark, Smallville
Fans waited with bated breath for ten seasons until this couple finally got together. Throughout the show, Lois and Clark's chemistry was off the charts, but they didn't see each other in a romantic light until they finally left Smallville and started working together at the Daily Planet.
The couple taught viewers that real love is worth waiting for, even if it takes ten seasons to realize what everyone has known all along finally. Those who are Superman comic fans know that these two would get together eventually,
38. Elena And Syd, One Day At A Time
Elena and Syd on One Day At A Time deserve just as much recognition as the other couples on this list. The show set around a Cuban-American family shows Elena coming out to her family and finding love in Syd who identifies as gender non-binary.
The two teens connected over their love of school and learning, but they showed maturity in how open and honest they were about their feelings. There was never a time where they were afraid to stand up for themselves or their feelings, which some adults find challenging.
39. Kristina And Adam, Parenthood
Try and think of any possible relationship challenge because whatever you can think of, Kristina and Adam on Parenthood have probably gone through it. The couple has three kids together, one who has Asperger's syndrome. When they said through sickness and health and for better or worse, these two meant it.
Throughout the series, Adam started his own business, and Kristina battled breast cancer, but they stood by each other's sides through all these ups and downs. He even encouraged her to run for public office and start a school for children with disabilities. The love they share for one another shined in every episode.
40. Damon And Elena, The Vampire Diaries
Although we are only talking about Damon and Elena, The Vampire Diaries gave us one of the best love triangles in TV history — Damon, Elena, and Stefan. Oh, and by the way, they are brothers. While some people say she is better with Stefan, we think she and Damon were a match made in heaven (or hell).
Both relationships were filled with romance and passionate love, but once she was turned into a vampire, it made more sense for her to be with Damon. Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder were dating off-screen, so it helped their on-screen chemistry.
41. Bones And Booth, Bones
When Booth and Bones started working together, it was purely a professional relationship, and they didn't even like each other. It took them a while to finally have their first kiss, and even after that, they tried to stay just friends. However, it's hard to fight true love.
Booth is fiercely protective of Bones, and when they finally got together, viewers rejoiced. Just because people move slowly in a relationship doesn't mean it won't eventually happen. It was hard to watch them date other people because we knew they were meant to be together.
42. Mulder And Scully, The X-Files
Mulder had always been a believer that there was extraterrestrial life on Earth, but Scully preferred to use logic and reasoning, so she remained skeptical. Throughout the show, fans played the "will-they-won't-they" game, and it took a while for them to finally take the next step past colleagues.
As the seasons went on, Scully and Mulder's relationship only got better and better, but it wasn't until one of the later seasons that they finally shared their first kiss. But when they did, sparks flew, and they became one of TV's favorite couples.
43. Stef And Lena, The Fosters
Stef and Lena's relationship started off a bit rocky. When they met, Stef was still married to a man, and she hadn't come out yet. However, she eventually divorced her husband to be with Lena. When that happened, Stef's seemed so much happier and like herself.
The Fosters features the woman and their blended family of biological, adopted, and fostered children. Lena and Stef and such good people, and they are so kind to one another. Whatever came their way, they pushed through together and gave people something to believe in.
44. Rebecca And Herself, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
Although Rebecca had three men in her life, in the series finale, she ended up choosing herself over any of the men. On TV, we don't see someone choose self-love over being in a relationship, and that is more important to showcase.
Rebecca knows who she is, and she is not in a rush to be with someone. She is enjoying time with herself and the freedom she has to do whatever she wants. The already unique musical/rom-com show was even more refreshing when she decided to love herself before being with someone else.
45. Schmidt And CeCe, New Girl
Although they ended up getting married, the road to their nuptials was anything but easy. Cece almost married someone else, but Schmidt sabotaged the wedding, and he almost ruined his chances with her by dating two women at once.
Despite all the bumps in the road, Schmidt and Cece came to their senses and tied the knot. They were perfect for each other because she brought him down to earth, and he made her realize how much of a queen she really was.
