Shadow's Got a Mind of Their Own
Celebrities, politicians, and other famous people are not immune to the results of poor image edits or spectacularly bad photoshop jobs. These people are also not impervious to the current social issue or two. Just look at Kendall Jenner, famous for being a part of the Kardashian family, who took a photo with a Black Lives Matter sign. While the image appears perfect, it begins to fall apart with some closer examination.
Someone swiftly noticed that the shadow of Kendall Jenner appeared not to be holding up the same sign. Either Kendall's shadow is a racist, or someone made a photoshop mistake.
Her Butt Is Popping, But So Is the Horse's
Everyone is looking for that image that makes their bodies appear as if they are perfect by society's definition. Unfortunately, society's expectations of human bodies are usually impossible without some fantastic genes and a butt implant or two. Who can blame a young woman for needing to add some "oomph" to her posterior? We certainly are not one to judge, but we can judge what her edits have done to the poor horse.
In her efforts to make it appear like she has some "junk in her trunk," she has mangled her horse's leg beyond recognition. It looks like the horse had noodles for legs.
Demonic Children's Piano Table
Every child is just a tad bit creepy. This is likely because most children say honest truths, talk to imaginary friends and are possibly possessed by otherworldly entities. You haven't seen this children's toy if you don't believe us on that last one. It shows a child's piano table with a little girl looking back at us with joy as she plays with it. Hopefully, you did not look at her reflection in the mirror attached to the table.
If you have, you saw the same child grinning at us from an impossible angle. Is this evidence of demonic possession, or was this just an editorial error? We'll never know.
"No One Will Know"
Everyone gets those feelings of envy and jealousy when checking out their friends' social media feeds. It is hard not to feel the pressure that one doesn't measure up to the impossibly fabulous lives our friends lead if one believes what everyone posts on social media. This young lady wanted to feel as if she measured up and had herself photoshopped into an image of a jet on the runway. Unfortunately, no one ever taught her how to edit pictures.
Her attempt resulted in the image of a jet that looked like a sticker of a young lady was placed on. The reason for her sticker-like appearance is apparent, unfortunately.
Magical Face Masks and Bubbles
During the rise of the global pandemic, there were many alternatives to masks out there in the world. One of these was the facial shields that protected people from the virus. While placing these masks on actors and models for photoshoots was expected during the pandemic, someone forgot how physics worked when they edited this image. The image of the two children wearing masks is perfect until one sees one of the children magically blowing bubbles through their masks.
If they were advertising how these facial shields protect people from spreading the virus, the child's ability to blow air through theirs seems to be a bit off the mark.
Ow, Who Knew Images Could Hurt?
When paying someone to take your wedding photographs, you can expect to receive your stock photos and sometimes some artsy ones. Unfortunately, for this bride and groom, their artsy picture of them kissing is painful for the brain. Not because of the couple, as they appear to be quite attractive people, but because the filter over the image makes our eyes hurt and our brains scream. The various filters and cuts make this image impossible to process.
Quite possibly, it is just us who cannot correctly process this image, but the longer we look at it, the sooner we might check ourselves into an insane asylum.
This Place Has All the Best Deals
Most people are aware of the hazards of online shopping, especially from places with less than reputable results. One place people can expect to deliver something vastly different than what they ordered is Wish. The website is well known for its blunders, becoming its trademark. So someone decided to convey this knowledge with some imaginative photo editing. They placed the surface image of a pool over a trampoline. The picture leaves us concerned for these people's lower bodies.
To send the point home, they wrote above the image that when no one is saying anything, Wish will come out with such an item as the impossible pool-trampoline or "trampool."
The Coolest Kid in School
Everyone wants to feel like they have the life they think everyone else is leading. Unfortunately, due to television and teen celebrities, teenagers often feel like their life is not nearly as magical as they should be. Therefore, in this image, we cannot blame a young man for editing two models and a six-pack onto himself. We wish he felt this was unnecessary and that he knew he was super cool in our eyes.
However, we must acknowledge that his "six-pack" appears to belong to a larger man who is not standing at that angle. Also, the models have two very different light sources on them.
Airplanes Just Keep Getting Smaller
There are photoshop edits that appear to be intended to appear natural, and then there are those edits where the person in charge of crafting the image did not care. This image is of the latter sort. In this list of the most miniature aircraft in the world, the author of this image wanted to have a pilot in the cockpit. Unfortunately, they gave up halfway through because the aircraft seemed only big enough for his head.
The image proves impossible because what model would volunteer to have their lower body removed for such a photo shoot? Secondly, why go through all the photoshopping efforts to give up halfway?
That Is Not How Yoga Works
While some photo edits are wrong because the image looks edited, other photoshop errors look bad because they achieve something physically impossible. The "Just Fit" advertisement kindly provides an example. They showcase an image of a woman doing yoga to promote their brand. However, the person behind this image's edits decided that human heads could turn 360 degrees when doing yoga, and we are pretty sure that is not how yoga works.
You would never know that image was photoshopped until you looked at their impossible yoga positions. We feel a warning is in order because that position is indeed fatal.
Every Mattress Here Comes With Floating Soda
Everyone knows that you cannot believe everything that you read. Therefore, marketing and advertising departments will do anything to get their customers to believe something they can only see with their own eyes. For example, this mattress company will have you believe their mattresses are waterproof against spilled drinks. To ensure that their customers think this, they gave a visual example of how resistant their beds are to liquids.
Unfortunately, their advertisements should have worked for the mattress company's customers, but fortunately for us, their marketers failed to produce a convincing image of soda being spilled on their mattresses.
Cat's Just Trying to Look Fresh
If anyone has ever shopped for a pet carrier, their top concern is usually their animal's comfort. Since it is generally challenging to show a happy animal in a still image, this pet carrier producer decided to attempt to convey an animal's happiness by putting makeup on a cat. We are not sure why makeup on a cat was the company's decision, but they went with it to the extreme.
This cat has full lipstick and blush on its feline face. We have difficulty finding the correlation between pet carriers and feline makeup lines or why they'd think this would convince customers.
She Literally Has Four Left Feet
This magazine decided to put a photograph of a mother with her daughter in this article which appears to be an op-ed about the mother. However, instead of leaving the adorable image alone, they decided something about the daughter's feet was wrong. Their solution? Give her twice the number of necessary legs. The resulting image is a young girl rocking it with four separate feet, and we can't stop thinking: how does she dance?
Unfortunately, the person for who the article was written will probably never get read because people will just be focused on how difficult finding two exact pairs of shoes must be.
Wack-A-Mole, but With Cats
Sometimes, the easiest solution to a problem is to copy and paste the solution. This often does not work in photo editing software, but people still do it. When this photographer could only get two kittens to stick their head out of the hole in the ground, they just went into their editing software and added a few more. Unfortunately, it has failed to convince us, the viewer, that multiple cats live in this hole
The person claimed that the cat they fed brought a whole bunch of its friends over, but instead of thinking that we are getting a heavy feeling of impending cat-clone invasion instead.
Hats With Eyebrow Extensions
With the inception of the selfie came a whole boatload of self-loathing. While everyone is beautiful in their own right, people still feel a need to alter their appearances to achieve something more. This lovely young lady is a victim of the vicious cycle of what we are calling "selfie-loathing." To spruce up her appearance, she added some thick eyebrows. Sadly, she failed to account for her hat, resulting in a less-than-convincing selfie.
This selfie was so close to being perfect that someone scrolling through social media could have easily missed her mistake, but the internet is not capable of letting that happen.
Love How New Tattoos Float Right off
Tattoos are an art form that a variety of people like getting on their bodies. Anyone from gangsters to business professionals can be seen decked out in their ink. It would appear that this young man was hoping to convince the world that he was a part of the inked brotherhood. While he nearly had us convinced, we are also pretty confident that tattoos are not supposed to float right over someone's body and off their body.
His addition of an artistic cross tattoo clued us in here. The cross seems to hover just over his shirtless image, and parts of the cross appear to float right off.
Jeans Make for Great Swimwear
Sometimes editing an image can be as simple as dragging another image right on top of the final one. Unfortunately, this can have some unforeseeable consequences that might not be immediately obvious, but sometimes they are. This inflatable pool company wished to show children having fun within their pool castle, but they failed to account for several factors. Most importantly, most children aren't going down a slippy slide in shoes, jeans, and a T-shirt.
Once you notice these odd clothing choices on these children who are supposedly playing in a pool, the image begins to fall apart. All of a sudden, the mistakes are glaringly obvious.
Get Yourself a Digital Boyfriend
Not everyone always feels like having to deal with the chore of having a significant other, and according to this Instagram advertisement, we won't have much longer. The creators of this image decided to add a gentleman to this image of a woman cooking and let us say he isn't anybody's boyfriend. Is it because of his less-than-realistic features or the fact that he is translucent? Or is it all of the above?
We assume that Instagram was attempting to make it look like a beautiful couple cooking, but could this be an advertisement for a future line of artificial, synthetic boyfriends?
Alien Thumbs
A few edits in Photoshop or on a similar photo editing app on your phone can make all the difference in an image. Just a slight drag of the mouse can turn an ordinary image into something that is social media worthy. However, even a little movement of the mouse can also spell disaster. This woman's attempt to better show off her food was a minor adjustment, but suddenly, people were screaming "Alien" in her comments section.
We are just going to assume that the screaming about her being an alien might be due to her tiny adjustment resulting in some alien-like thumbs and hands.
Symmetrical Leaves
Being a realtor sometimes requires one to spend some time making photographs of a house more appealing. Unfortunately, a realtor's license does not include a course in Photoshop. Otherwise, things like this wouldn't happen. The seller of this home wanted to make the house's trees look full of leaves. Unfortunately, their elementary understanding of image editing resulted in a tree that looks to be of another world. The leaves were copied and pasted, which destroyed the illusion.
At this point, we can safely say that an image of a bare tree might have been a better option than this, but we appreciate the realtor's efforts.
Transforming Sweatpants
Ever taken a picture with a pair of pants and then expertly transformed the image in an editing tool? Well, this person certainly has. She tried on a pair of sweatpants that were dual-colored. One side was black, and the other was white until she changed them to red. The world would have never known about her deception if it was not for the reflection. While the change was done like a professional, the mirror showed the truth.
If this image was not photoshopped, then we have no clue what is happening here. Perhaps she dyed the pants in vampire blood since everyone knows that wouldn't appear in a reflection.
Are All Cars Flat and All Bridges Flimsy?
The problem with the amount of information on the internet is that websites have resorted to becoming clickbaity to get a fraction of the views they used to receive. News articles are no different. Here a list article wanted to list off the "30 Most Dangerous Bridges," but they decided to overdo it in Photoshop, and the results are breaking the laws of physics. They transformed this bridge into a noodle.
We are not exactly sure what the writers of this article were thinking, as most people in the world know bridges don't work like that and cars are not flat.
Are We Seeing Three Arms?
There are bad photoshops, and then there is the mind-breaking kind. This sort is of the latter category. The image is simple: a woman pouring her smoothie from her blender into her cup. Unfortunately, things went awry in the editing afterward. The idea initially comes off as perfectly usual, but a second glance shows an impossible third arm holding up the middle of the blending. But it seems to be a floating hand.
We will assume that the woman is not sporting three separate hands, so where did it come from? Fortunately, we can rest at ease thinking someone forgot to erase it in photoshop.
Elbows Have Never Been More Terrifying
The thing about minor edits is that a slight modification can completely wreck an image or make it stunning. This woman is already perfect the way she is, but she feels that a tinier waist would be better. However, in her efforts to grant herself the body of her dreams, she has given the world insanely large elbows. Not just abnormally large ones, but the type of elbows with a reality television show attached to them.
We think that this might be a money maker. So if this was not a photoshop error, this could be easily adapted for a crossover with "My 600-L.B. Life."
Get Abs in Six Seconds
Everyone wants a set of washboard abs. The type that will make everyone look at you with envy. However, unlike six-packs, abs are not sold at a local market. They take some effort and dedication, but if you are too busy or don't have the time, then six seconds in the editing booth might make them a reality. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned for this gentleman, and the results speak for themselves.
His washboard abs are slightly too large and misaligned, and they have a different focus than the rest of the image. Our verdict? Six-second abs are just not worth it.
That Man's Poor Ear
Don't let anyone get too close should be the lesson most amateur photo editors learn. This advertisement for this company's wireless earbuds might not look so bad from afar or behind a blindfold, but they were digitally placed on the man's ear up close. The close-up inspection proves this true with the digital appearance of the earbud. This could result in a customer growing concerned that a company couldn't produce an actual product for a model.
Either that or the company didn't have the budget for a model photo shoot, which is not their fault. Nevertheless, probably best to forgo the model in this case.
The Neck Muscles of a Champion
Women usually want some more curves, and men will want to have bigger muscles. This is not a rule, but it tends to fall into those categories. This man decided that his epic photo looking off the top of an old wall was not quite epic enough with some thicker muscles. For some unknown reason, he decided that his neck was in dire need of a muscle boost. The results speak for themselves.
The man looks to have a neck that professional bodybuilders would likely pass on. How is he even turning his head with such thick muscles is unknown to any of us?
Only Cool Kids Wear Sunglasses
Everyone who goes to school knows what it takes to be cool. It usually requires a lousy attitude, terrible attendance, and sunglasses. However, since only one of these is capturable in a photograph, the only option for making oneself cool in pictures is to add sunglasses. When this hairband company wanted to curtail their product to the "cool kids," the solution was simple, add sunglasses. Unfortunately, we don't think they quite hit the mark.
The sunglasses they added on this person appear to be slightly off. For one, the lenses are two different sizes; secondly, they don't fit; and thirdly, they don't have any arms.
He's Expecting
Beachside photographs are verifiable proof that one knows how to take a proper vacation. The only problem with these photographs is that the people in them tend to get a bit self-conscious about how they look. For example, take this young lady, we all know she is perfect the way she is, but she wanted to get that impossibly tiny waist. Nothing photoshop couldn't handle. Unfortunately, the side effect was making her boyfriend appear to be pregnant.
Hopefully, post-vacation, this couple can get that surprise taken care of. Regardless, it would appear that congratulations are for the expecting happy couple. Who knew that photoshop could lead to unexpected pregnancies?
Boys Trying for That Model Bod
People might wrongly assume that women are the only ones who feel they might need to do some editing to their beachside photographs. Men are just as self-conscious as women. Sometimes they even want the same thing. These guys were looking to get those itty-bitty waist sizes, and for amateur editors, they did not do such a lousy job. Unfortunately, they went a bit too far, and the results are likely impossible in the real world.
We are not biologists, so we won't claim to be experts on the matter, but it seems like such a body type is only reserved for cartoon characters.
Illegal Marketing
When things are produced for a company, they will usually go through many rounds of inspection before being allowed to be disbursed to the public. This is to avoid mistakes such as these because there are no words for this situation. This would appear to be a kiddie pool showing a mother and her two sons in the pool with her. Unfortunately, the longer you look at the image, the sooner you'll realize the mother's hand appears in her son's pants.
We are about 1000% sure that this mistake slipped through the cracks because we pray and hope that this pool brand is not promoting pedophilic fondling of one's children.
The Cat Is as Confused as Us
Everyone knows those challenges that ask the viewer to spot what doesn't belong. Well, here is an unintentional one. Unfortunately, the challenge is not too complicated, so it should be easy to get the correct answer, the cat. This cat backpack advertisement shows a woman and her dog, then randomly edited into the situation a picture of a white cat sitting in a backpack. The themes are all wrong, and the photo editing is obvious.
Honestly, we are not sure what the image is supposed to say about the product. Perhaps we are missing the inside joke because we aren't in the market for cat backpacks.
Professional Edits Results in New Anime Character
Anyone with a computer and a skill for photo editing can make a career out of the trade. Many people have neither the skill nor time to edit their images, so there is always a demand. This person created an advertisement featuring before and after pictures of the same person. The only problem with this advertisement is that we think they are getting themselves into the wrong field. We believe this because they transformed their model into an anime character.
We are pretty sure that no one is looking for their wedding photographs to feature anime models of the people in the pictures. Maybe a career in character drawing is better suited.
Glue Gun Can't Decide Its Size
One of the most significant problems with shopping online is knowing the actual product size. Take this glue gun, for example. How big is it in real life? The producer of said glue gun decided to help people by having various models handle the glue gun. Unfortunately, and impossibly so, this just made the size of the glue gun even more confusing for potential customers. Somehow in every single photo, the glue gun is sized entirely differently.
This feels like a setup. The images tell us that no matter what size you want, you will get a different size than you expect. This is just making online shopping harder.
Didn't Know Legs Could Do That
When editing photographs, you can make the impossible happen. Just take this woman who bought a unique dress, half ballroom gown, and half formal black dress. Fortunately, there does not appear to be anything wrong with the dress. However, we are not sure what is happening to her ankle, but it looks like it requires immediate medical attention. The ankle of her right leg appears to have stacked itself a dozen times on top of itself.
Is this a medical emergency? We think not. Instead, it would appear something went wrong in the photoshop process, causing a purely artificial physical anomaly. Or at least that's what we hope.
Someone Should Have Double-Checked This
Sometimes it is better to scrap a project and do a hard reset. However, even when it might be the best option, people will go ahead with what they have. When this happens, the results sometimes look like this advertisement for swimming suits. First off, the words "Suit Yourself" are reflecting off the water, creating an entirely different message that reads: "Shit Yourself." We do not think that was intentional.
We did not even touch on the fact she had noodles for arms on her right side or the fact that they replaced her thigh gap with a geometrical shape.
Dog Got Those Alien Eyes
Everyone, even the dogs, wants to have those mesmerizing eyes. However, thanks to humans' intuitive sense of what works biologically, we can usually decipher fake eyeballs from real ones. Also, equipped with the knowledge that dogs do not typically have alien blue eyes, we would automatically know something was deeply wrong with this photograph. However, now we must question if this is proof of alien lifeforms cohabitating with canines or a poor photo editing decision.
The dog is adorable, even with its slightly horrifying eyes. This proves that sometimes a good thing can be taken way too far. Blue eyes? Fine. Alien blue? Invasion.
How Did That Pumpkin Get Here?
Sometimes the obvious can get forgotten when working with the tiny details. The person who was tasked with the job of designing a waffle maker that produced pumpkin-shaped waffles fell into that well-known trap. So focused on delivering a pumpkin waffle they forgot to ensure it made sense by changing the waffle maker to match. Failing to do so has created a magical waffle maker that should produce regular waffles instead makes pumpkins.
Honestly, we might not have initially noticed as well, but once you do see it, it becomes impossible not to notice how magical this pumpkin-shaped waffle maker is.
Fake Doggos
This person decided they wanted to include their dog in their Tinder profile, but they had already chosen all the photos for it, and none included her doggie. The solution? The lady cropped out her dog from one photo and placed it in one of her previously chosen selections. While she put the cutout picture of her dog on the sofa, it is clear that it is not actually there.
Maybe she just felt we wanted all the dog lovers on Tinder to know that she owned one, but it does feel a little suspicious, and perhaps she doesn't own one.
Pretending to Be Popular
The newspaper wrote an article about the local circus, but it was less attended than expected. The solution to this problem of getting a photograph with many local attendees at the circus was easily solvable with a bit of Photoshop. Unfortunately, the newspaper did not know that the public was well-trained in noticing oddities in such photographs after growing up with "Where's Waldo?" books. They soon noticed what appeared to be the same person all over the picture.
The person was not alone, and soon a group of people was found to have been copied and pasted throughout the circus. Maybe the circus is not quite as popular as they'd hoped.
